The Art of Giving (TAG)
It’s never too early to think about gifts for TAG! These gifts are distributed during the holidays and many of you provide lovely handmade gifts for the low-income elderly in the area. I always hesitate to recommend certain items because so many of you have provided gifts that are truly unique and appreciated by the recipients.
Each year, some of the favorite presents are lap blankets, fingerless gloves, shawls and cowls. This is a great time to buy fleece fabric at JoAnns, as they discount their inventory significantly in the spring. Smaller goods make great summer projects. Many of you have your specialties and all are welcome.
If you’d like to contribute but are short on time, toiletries are always welcome, especially shampoo, lotion, soap and toothpaste.
Thanks again to all of you who contributed last year and thank you in advance to those who will contribute this year. If you have items ready, and would prefer not to store them during the summer, please bring them to the March or April meeting, and I will be happy to store them.
